SDE, Bharati Vidyapeeth University is located in Pune. It offers UG, PG, PG Diploma and Diploma courses. Bharati Vidyapeeth University has provisional recognition from DEC in 2007 - 08 for conducting distance education courses. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University was established in 1996 under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has established the School of Distance Education with an approval of DEC. Master of Laws (LL.M) is its popular course through Distance Education. Courses - University offers courses in Arts (B.A & M.A), Commerce (B.Com & M.Com) , Vocational (Diploma, Certificate & PG Diploma) and Professional (MBA, MCA, B.LI.Sc, M.LI.Sc, BBA, BCA and LLM) through distance learning.
Methodology - Under Academic activities students are provided guidance by qualified and expert faculty, regular coaching through contact classes, quality self learning material, promotion of research, E-learning through video conferencing. Bharati Vidyapeeth University has established study annexes in its own constituent units located in Pune, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolhapur, Solapur, Karad and Sangli, which function as a collaborator in effective programme delivery.
Study Centres - It has Academic annexes located in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Sangli, Kolhapur and Karad. The Personal Contact Sessions and Seminars are conducted at the Academic Study annexes during the holidays (including Sundays or Saturdays and public holidays). Generally 40 to 45 hours are devoted to the contact sessions during an academic term of Degree Programme. For diploma programme, minimum one seminar is organised during each term. In order to become eligible for respective Semester-End or Annual Examination a student has a) to attend Personal Contact Sessions / Seminars in adequate number and b) to complete study assignments to the satisfaction of the Coordinator.
Selection - The Information Brochure (together with Admission form) is available at Academic annexes located in Bharati Vidyapeeth University Institutions. The candidate seeking admission to any course should have completed 18 years of age as on the date of admission.
Examination - There are annual examinations for non professional programmes and for professional programmes there are semester end examinations. The examinations are held twice in a year in the month of Nov / Dec and in May / June.
Application Procedure - Application form can be obtained from Study annexes or Website. Fees is to be paid by a Demand Draft / pay order drawn in favour of "Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, School of Distance Education" on any Nationalised Bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd., payable at Pune. Completed form after enclosing documents and draft can be submitted to Study annexes.
