The ICFAI University, Sikkim has been established under Section 4 (2) of the ICFAI University, Sikkim Act 2004 (Act 9 of 2004) passed by Legislative Assembly of Sikkim. It is empowered by UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956.

Courses - ICFAI University offers courses in Management (MBA), Information Technology and PG Diploma through distance learning.

Methodology - Under Academic activities University provides a detailed study plan and prescribed books specially designed (as per the curriculum). Students may attend contact classes or participate in workshops on an optional basis. The examinations are on Computer Based Test format. They will serve to finally assess and certify the students. CBTs are held at test centers, as indicated on the website.

Examinations - They are conducted four-times in a year in the months of January, April, July and October. Students can select the convenient center and time slot and register for their examinations by logging on to the website - www.iusikkim.edu.in

Study Centres - The University has no study centers outside its authorized jurisdiction. MBA workshops (optional) are organized at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi (subject to registration of a minimum number of 25 students per location). Students are required to pay a fee of Rs 2,500 per workshop separately at the time of registration for the same.

Selection - Admission to courses are made through Merit of qualifying exam. Applications received from students are checked for the basic eligibility criteria and the eligible students are enrolled into the program under the distance learning mode.

Application Procedure - Application form can be obtained from Study Centre or Website. Completed Application Forms along with the required enclosures can be submitted or sent by speedpost / courier to The Admissions Officer, The ICFAI University, Sikkim, Gangtok-737101. Students can enroll into the program by logging on to the website (www.iusikkim.edu.in) for filing the application form online and making the payment through Internet. Fee remittance can be done by way of Demand Draft or Credit Card. Demand Draft should be in favor of “IUCF A/c IUS” payable at Hyderabad.
